Curse Of The Vegan Halloween Society is a mini narrative puzzle adventure!
This puzzle was originally created as a bonus treat for anyone who pre-ordered from this year's Vegan Halloween collection. It has received such an overwhelmingly positive reception and I must admit I'm pretty dang proud of how the whole thing turned out. Since I had enough materials left to create an additional 20 envelopes, I'd love for others to be able to get in on the fun.
What the heck is it? Think of it kind of like an at-home escape room. You can see full walk throughs of previous year's puzzle adventures here and here. But this one is bigger, more elaborate, and with much better production value.
The story: A mysterious black and gold envelope has found it's way to your doorstep. You dump out the contents to find a rainbow gloss button, a handful of shredded paper, and a note warning you about a serious of mysterious deaths that have befallen members of the Vegan Halloween Society.
From there you'll have to solve a variety of puzzles to figure out who is behind this, and hopefully, how to stop them.
How long will it take to solve? the fastest anyone has solved it thus far is 80 minutes. Some people have stretched it out over a few different sessions. But it's not about blazing through, it is about enjoying the ride.
Seems interesting, but I'm not good at puzzles. Don't worry, unlimited hints and help are available. Plus this is NOT a bunch of stale math problems and sudoku puzzles. My goal is for this to be a fun experience, not feel like home work or insult your intelligence. Ultimately it's your experience so you decide how you want to play. Need someone to gently walk you through it? No problem! Refuse hints at all costs? Hats off to you.
What tools do I need? You will need a smart phone and access to the internet. It would also be helpful to have a pencil and paper on hand. No outside knowledge is required, and since this is an at-home game you are welcome and encouraged to Google when necessary. These are puzzles that reward your observational skills and the ability to make connections.
NOTE: I only have a few buttons left in stock. The button IS a part of the puzzle, but a suitable workaround will be included for games without button.
The size chart is the measurement (in inches) of the shirt itself, not of the person wearing the shirt.
DO YOUR SHIRTS RUN BIG OR SMALL? Although there is no universal measurement standard for t-shirts (fun fact, when it comes to clothing "true to size"is a meaningless phrase) our unisex shirts run fairly average. Our fitted shirts tend to run on the smaller side. However this is still a subjective opinion in the eye of the beholder, as such we highly recommend checking out the above sizing chart before you order.
NOTES ABOUT TERMINOLOGY: People of all genders enjoy wearing our various clothing styles, so we stopped separating them out into "men's" and "women's" styles in an effort to be more accurate and inclusive. LARGER SIZES?: In every garment we use, we order every sizing option available to us. This produces a range of XS through 2X in the fitted styles and XS through 4X in the standard styles. While this offers a range of 15 different sizes to choose from, we realize that this does not necessarily accommodate every body size and type out there. The ethical standards that we have set for the company (organic or recycled, sweat shop free and USA made) also severely limits us in many ways including color, style and, most unfortunately, sizing options. We recognize that this is not an ideal situation and are constantly on the look out for other garment manufacturers who can create sizes above 3X that don't compromise our commitment to ethical labor practices and eco friendly materials.
